An 8 yard skip is ideal for large household clear-outs, renovation projects, and light construction work. It is perfect for disposing of bulky items, furniture, and general mixed waste.
An 8 yard skip can hold approximately 80 to 90 black bin bags of waste, making it one of the most popular choices for larger projects.
In many cases, yes. However, due to its larger size, it depends on the available space on your driveway. If space is limited, a permit may be required to place it on the road.
A permit is only required if the skip is placed on a public road. If it is positioned on private property, such as a driveway, no permit is needed. We can arrange permits on your behalf if required.
Your hire includes up to 7 days as standard. If you need the skip for longer, simply contact us to arrange an extended hire period.
The 8 yard skip is not ideal for:
- Heavy waste such as soil, rubble, or hard core in large quantities
- Dense construction materials that may exceed weight limits
- Hazardous or restricted items, including asbestos, chemicals, or electrical waste
For heavy materials, a smaller skip such as a 2 or 3 yard option is more suitable due to weight restrictions.
Our 8-yard skip is ideal for large clear-outs, offering ample space for bulky, lightweight household waste. Items such as mattresses and fridge freezers can be included for an additional charge, however these must be declared prior to booking. Please note, this skip is not suitable for heavy waste such as soil, rubble, or construction materials, and must not be overloaded.
This skip is ideal for up to 80-90 black bin bags.
